I’m René Dekkers — a software developer. Every day, I build software using a fully AI-driven workflow. Claude Code is my constant companion, and AI is woven into every step of my development process: from architecture and code to testing and documentation.
My AI workflow
Where most developers still use AI as a fancy search window, I work with a fully integrated approach:
- Claude Code as pair programmer — not in a separate tab, but right in my terminal, with full access to the codebase
- AI-driven architecture — I design new features in dialogue with AI, which knows my existing patterns and builds on them
- Automated testing and refactoring — AI reads the code, identifies issues, makes changes, and validates the result
- Documentation as a byproduct — no longer a separate chore, but something that naturally emerges from the development process
The result: I deliver in hours what used to take days. Not by working harder, but by using the right tools in the right way.
Background
Extensive experience with .NET, C#, and cloud architectures. I’ve built enterprise applications, microservices, and scalable solutions for a wide range of organizations. That experience makes the difference — I don’t just know how AI tools work, but also when they add value and when they don’t.
